MOON TOWNSHIP, PA. - Rodney Pryor scored 25 points and Robert Morris' zone defense stifled Duquesne as the Colonials posted a 75-59 win over the Dukes at the Sewall Center.

Derrick Colter, who went 4-of-9 from 3-point range, and Eric James had 17 points each for Duquesne, which was 8-of-35 from the 3-point arc in scoring a season-low 59 points.

Kavon Stewart had 12 points and 11 assists and Elijah Minnie had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Robert Morris, which shot 46.4 percent.

RMU, which trailed just once when Colter opened the game with a 3-pointer, led 15-12 before going on a 14-3 run that featured buckets by five different players.

Duquesne managed to cut it to seven on a Jordan Stevens 3-pointer, before RMU answered with an Aaron Tate layup that made it 39-30 at the half.

Pryor hit three of his four 3-pointers in scoring 14 in the first 20 minutes for the Colonials.

Pryor scored the first five points of the second half to make it a 14-point game, before Colter caught fire, converting a four-point play and hitting two more 3-pointers to cut it to 46-42 with under five minutes into the half.

The rally was short-lived, as RMU scored the next 14 points to take a 60-42 lead on a Pryor jumper.

Duquesne missed nine consecutive shots - seven from 3-point - and turned it over three times during the run.

RMU maintained at least a 14-point lead the rest of the way.

"I thought we did a good job at the beginning of the second half," said Duquesne head coach Jim Ferry. "We cut it to four, then I just think we took some bad shots that led to leak outs for them and that changed the game right there.

"We got completely out-toughed today, period."

Robert Morris, who blocked eight shots, outrebounded DU 46-36.

Duquesne takes on its second consecutive Northeast Conference opponent when it opens a four-game homestand against Saint Francis U (4-4) on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 7:00 p.m.
