Duquesne's men's soccer team ended a four-match losing streak with a 1-0 victory at St. Francis Sunday afternoon in Loretto, Pa.

After 80 minutes of scoreless soccer, Karter Sell found Austin Lange with a cross as Lange tallied his first goal of the season, which happened to be his first collegiate game-winning goal.

"The guys battled for ninety minutes and the hard work paid off today," said head coach Chase Brooks. "It was a good result against a quality side. We have some time now to get focused on conference and have to work hard to clean up some of the little things that can be the difference between wins and losses in the A-10."

Sam Frymier made five saves on posting his fifth shutout of the season. The Dukes were outshot, 13-9 and the Red Flash had an 8-3 advantage in corner kicks.

The Dukes return to action on Friday, Oct. 11 as they travel to La Salle for their Atlantic 10 opener at 7:00 pm.
