Women's Soccer Falls to Pitt 3-1

PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne women's soccer team fell to the University of Pittsburgh 3-1 on Sunday afternoon at Ambrose Urbanic Field.

Pitt's Roosa Arvas broke a 1-1 tie in the 58th minute after taking a pass from Dana DelleFemine from 20 yards out. Alex Charlebois added an insurance goal in the 87th minute on an assist from Arvas.

Morgan Sharick opened the scoring in the 26th minutes after taking a header off an Arvas corner kick. The Dukes' Morgan Herbert answered 63 seconds later. She headed a pass from Bridget Lynch past Panthers' keeper Nicole D'Agostino.

Duquesne returns home on Friday when they host Niagara at Rooney Field at 7:00 p.m. The Dukes' travel to cross-town rival Robert Morris on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
