Dukes Win Third Straight, Take Down Temple 2-0

Duquesne's men's soccer team won its third straight contest with a 2-0 victory over visiting Temple Friday evening on Rooney Field. The Dukes improve their overall record to 6-7-2, their Atlantic 10 record to 3-2-1 and their home record to 6-0-2.

Joshua Patterson continued his solid play by scoring both DU goals. The first came in the 18th minute off assists from Adam Clement and Simon Gomez. The insurance goal came in the 83rd minute on a penalty kick. Patterson now has a team-high eight goals and is second on the team in scoring with 17 points.

Colin Thorp made four saves in goal to post his third shutout of the season.

The Dukes return to action on Sunday, Oct. 30 as they host Saint Joseph's at 1:00 pm on Rooney Field. Before the match, Duquesne will honor seniors Eric Drewenskus, Jared Gentile, Derek Patrizio and Colin Thorp.
