Duquesne's men's soccer team improved it record to 2-1 with a 1-0, non-conference blanking of Saint Joseph's on Friday in the first round of the Pitt Tournament at Founders Field.

Senior Stefan Lundberg tallied the lone goal of the contest in the 82nd minute off an assist from fellow senior Jamie Waugh.

The Dukes outshot the Hawks, 17-5 and held a 12-1 advantage in shots in the first half. Senior Chris Torres stopped the only shot on goal he faced to post his first shutout of the season.

The Dukes return to action in the second round on Sunday, Sept. 12 as they face Army at 11:00 a.m. at North Allegheny High School.
