Under blustery conditions with winds gusting up to 40 mph, Duquesne's baseball team evened its three-game series with visiting Richmond with a 14-7 triumph Saturday afternoon at Duquesne Field.

Andrew Heck went 3-5 with three RBI and three runs scored and launched his ninth home run of the season. Rick Devereaux was 2-2 with three walks, three runs scored and a run knocked in. Jackson Boyd drove in three runs and Chris Happ had two hits and two RBI.

Matt Zarin pitched the fifth, sixth and seventh innings to collect his second win of the season while Jim Devine tossed the eighth and ninth, allowing just one run. Starter Paul Bugajski, who had the starting nod, was also effective, allowing just two earned runs in the first four innings while striking out four.

Game three of the series will be played Sunday at Duquesne Field. The game time has been moved back one hour to 1:00 p.m.
