Box Score

Andrew Heck had two hits, an RBI, a run scored and pitched three innings, but it was not enough as the Red and Blue lost Friday's game one of its three-game Atlantic 10 series with visiting Richmond, 4-3 in 10 innings.

Johnny Elms was the only other Duke with multiple hits, going 2-4 with a run scored. Mark Tracy drove in a run and Matt Carson scored a run as the Spiders downed the Dukes.

Robert Corsi pitched the first six innings, allowing three runs and no walks while striking out five. Grant Gillespie hurled one scoreless inning and Andrew Heck tossed the final three innings, allowing just one run while striking out five.

Game two of the series is scheduled for Saturday at 1:00 p.m at Duquesne Field.
