Mark Tracy's bases loaded single in the bottom of the ninth gave Duquesne a 10-9 victory over visiting St. Bonaventure Sunday afternoon at Duquesne Field.
With the score tied 9-9 in the bottom of the ninth, Mike Ganley led off with a single. Then, after two Dukes struck out, Andrew Heck singled and Ganley advanced to third on an error. Rick Devereaux was then intentionally walked before Tracy's walk-off single to left field won the game for DU, ending its 11-game losing streak.
Heck, who started the game in center field, took the mound in the fifth inning and earned his team-leading third victory of the season. He tossed five innings, allowing just one run and striking out four, while walking none.
Tracy was 3-5 on the day with two RBI and a run scored, Andrew Heck was 2-5 with two RBI and two runs scored, Mike Ganley was 1-1 with two walks and three runs scored, Chris Kimmeth had two hits and Matt Carson drove in two.
The Dukes return to action on Tuesday, April 27 for a 7:00 p.m. contest at West Virginia.
