PITTSBURGH - Duquesne University head women's basketball coach Suzie McConnell-Serio has accepted the resignation of assistant coach Blaine Patterson. Patterson, who joined the staff in May 2007, has decided to pursue other coaching opportunities.

"As hard as it is to see Blaine go, I wish him the best of luck," said McConnell-Serio. "He did a great job at Duquesne and was an important part of what we have built."

Before arriving on the Bluff, Patterson served as an assistant coach at Illinois and Wyoming.
