THE SHOW MUST GO ON: For the first time in the 28-year history of the Atlantic 10 Championship, the tournament will be played at a neutral site beginning Friday, Mar. 5 at The Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, Md. The Championship will feature 12 teams vying for the A-10 title and the automatic berth into the 2010 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship
TOURNAMENT TIME: This season marks Duquesne's 25th appearance in the Atlantic 10 Championship. Overall, the Dukes are 17-24 (.414) including last night's win over George Washington. DU also improved to 14-10 (.583) in A-10 opening round action.
HOW THEY GOT WHERE THEY ARE - Duquesne (9-5) finished in a four-way tie for fourth place with Charlotte, St. Bonaventure and Saint Joseph's. The Dukes posted a 2-2 record versus the three teams while the 49ers and Hawks went 2-1 and Bonnies went 1-3. Temple in a tie for second place with Dayton, but the Owls lost the tie breaker due to their 71-63 loss to the Flyers on Feb. 20.

DUQUESNE AND TEMPLE ALL-TIME: Tonight marks the 40th all-time meeting between the Dukes and Owls. The schools first met Jan. 5, 1984 at the Civic Arena. The teams also squared off four times in the Atlantic 10 Championship, with the Owls winning three times. Earlier this season, the Owls got by the Dukes 52-41.
