Duquesne's baseball team scored runs in each of the first seven innings, but it wasn't enough as the Dukes fell to Illinois State, 16-15 in 11 innings Sunday afternoon/evening in Winter Haven, Fla. in a game that lasted five hours, four minutes.
Rick Devereaux, who went 4-4 on Saturday, had hits in his first four at bats on Sunday, finishing 4-7 with an RBI and two runs scored. Mark Tracy, went 2-6 with three RBI and hit his second home run of the season, Andrew Heck was 3-6 with a pair of RBI, Derrik Zeroski went 3-6 with three RBI and Chris Happ scored three runs and drove in two.
The Dukes return to action Monday morning as they face Villanova at 11:00 am.
