Duquesne's baseball team dropped a 10-3 decision to Kansas State Saturday evening in the first of eight games to be played in Florida.
Sophomore Rick Devereaux led the Dukes' offensive attack with a 4-4 effort at the plate, including his second home run of the season. He improved his batting average to a team best .440 with the outing.
Five other Dukes each had a hit, including sophomore Derrik Zeroski who doubled. Andrew Heck pitched the first five innings, allowing five runs while striking out four.
The Dukes return to action on Sunday, Feb. 28 as they face Illinois State at 1:30 p.m.
