NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Freshman forward Wumi Agunbiade was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week.

Agunbiade recorded a double-double in both of Duquesne's wins this past week - a career-highs 21 points and 16 boards in the Dukes' 91-65 victory at Miami, Ohio on Nov. 24, and 14 points and 10 rebounds, along with a game-high five steals and three blocks in DU's, 61-34, win over cross-town rival Robert Morris on Sunday.

She joins fellow freshman Orsi Szecsi as rookie of the week award winners this season. Szecsi was named on Nov. 15th.

The Dukes (3-1) play the next three games on the road - Wednesday Dec. 1st at Akron followed by Saturday Nov. 4th at Canisius and Monday Nov. 6th at Buffalo.
