BOWLING GREEN, OHIO - B.J. Monteiro came off the bench to lead five players in double figures with a game-high 21 points and freshman T.J. McConnell added 10 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists as Duquesne cruised to a 90-54 win at Bowling Green.
The Dukes held the Falcons to 12 field goals in posting the largest margin of victory in a road game since 1973.
Bill Clark (16 points), Sean Johnson (12 points) and Mike Talley (10 points) also reached double digits for the Dukes who moved to 2-1.
Jordon Crawford led 1-3 Bowling Green with 18.
Duquesne, which led 40-21 at the half, jumped out to a 15-4 lead on the strength of two 3-pointers from Clark and one from Talley.
BGSU briefly cut the lead to 21-16 before DU answered with a 16-1 run to take a 20-point lead. Clark started and ended the run with a 3-pointers as five different players scored. Clark hit four of his five 3-pointers in the opening 20 minutes as the Dukes held the Falcons to four field goals.
"As a team we played awfully well," said Duquesne head coach Ron Everhart. "We really did the things we had been talking about during practice. I thought we defended at a whole different level that we've been up until thus far this year. I'm proud of our guys for bouncing back from a tough loss a couple of days ago."
Monteiro, who went 2-of-10 from the field in Duquesne's 69-63 loss at Robert Morris on Friday, went 9-of-10 from the field with three assists and two blocks.
"That's the best game I've ever seen B.J. play," said Everhart. "Its not often you pick up a scoresheet and see a guy taking 10 shots and missing only one. I also thought Sean Johnson gave us a very good effort tonight. And with T.J., it seemed every time he had the ball in his hands something good happened."
Johnson went 4-of-5 from the field and added a career-high five assists and a career-best three steals.
Duquesne outscored Bowling Green 44-8 in the paint. The Dukes held the Falcons to 27.3 percent shooting, marking the first time since 2004 that the Dukes held a team under 30 percent from the field.
DU assisted on 22 of 34 field goals in shooting 60,7 percent.
Duquesne's largest lead was 39 points with 4:31 left.
Duquesne returns home to face UMBC on Saturday, Nov. 27 at the Palumbo Center.
