Duquesne junior baseball player Andrew Heck (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) has been named by Baseball America as one of its top prospects heading into the 2010 season.

Baseball America took their rankings from Team USA and 18 college summer leagues, which includes Heck's Jayhawk League, where he played for the Hays Larks. Heck was named to the All-Jayhawk League First Team and finished the season with a .360 average with 21 RBI and nine stolen bases. He also posted a 6-0 record on the mound with a 1.79 ERA in 75 1/3 innings of work.

Heck led the Dukes pitching staff in 2009 with a 3.78 ERA and was the team's fourth leading hitter with a .314 average.

In the prospects listing, Heck was named as the No. 3 prospect out of the Jayhawk League. The list mentioned the top 30 prospects from the Cape Cod League, while each of the other leagues listed the top 10.
