Duquesne University freshman catcher/first baseman Rick Devereaux (Oakdale, Pa./West Allegheny) has been named to the Atlantic 10 Baseball All-Rookie Team as voted on by the conference coaches.

Devereaux led the Dukes with 15 doubles and 42 runs scored, was second on the team with 45 RBI and was third in batting average at .323. He also added four home runs, 25 walks and six stolen bases while making 51 starts for the Red and Blue.

Devereaux was the only Duke to play in all 19 home games and led the team with a .397 average at Duquesne Field. In addition, the 6'0" left-handed batter led DU with 14 multiple RBI games and was third with 18 multiple hit games. He finished the season on a personal best seven-game hitting streak.
