PRINCETON, N.J. - Senior Samantha Howard (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) qualified for the 2009 NCAA Outdoor East Regional Track and Field Championship after she finished with a time of 16:47.98 in the 5000m at the ECAC Championship on the campus of Princeton University. Howard set a career-best mark, surpassing her previous school record time of 17:20.23 The NCAA qualifying mark is 16:52.00.
Melissa Miller participated in a pair of events. She finished 24th in the 200m crossing in 24.94 and was 25th in the 400m with a time of 56.29.
Sydney Schwab finished in 27th place with a throw of 115-8 in the javelin.
