Washington & Jefferson Invitational
The Duquesne women's track and field team competed in a pair of events this weekend - the majority at the Duke Invitational in Durham, N.C. and the throwers at the Washington & Jefferson Invitational in Washington, Pa.
Melissa Miller, coming off a three first place finishes at the VMI Carnival, placed fourth in the 200m (24.87) and 400m (56.89).
Carly Brickett placed first in the 1,500m developmental run with a time of 4:54.80.
Sarah Cimino finished fifth overall in the 500m, crossing in 17:56.01.
The throwers had an excellent has at the Washington & Jefferson Invitational, placing seventh overall.
Arin Whitman finished first in the discus with a distance of 132-6 and second in the shot put with a throw of 37-9.25. Korrey Willis was first in the shot put (40-11.50) and second in the discus (119-7).
Katelyn Cass and Christine Swanson finished second and third in the triple jump with distances of 36-0.75 and 35-1.75 respectively.
Daniela Siciliano was second in the pole vault with a distance of 10-6
Next up is Bucknell Open and Distance Carnival April 10-11.
