Duquesne's baseball team couldn't overcome a six-run fourth inning by West Virginia in a 7-5 loss to the Mountaineers Tuesday evening in Morgantown.
Anthony Manley led the Dukes with a 3-4 effort at the plate with two runs scored to improve his team-best batting average to .386. Derrik Zeroski also added two hits while Rick Devereaux had the lone RBI.
Michael Pelekanos hurled the first three innings, allowing just one run. Jim Devine followed, giving up six unearned runs while Brad Duffy pitched the final two scoreless innings.
The Red and Blue return to action on Wednesday as they host Pitt at 4:00 pm at Duquesne Field.
