NEW YORK - The Duquesne women's track and Field team scored 24 points and placed 11th out of 30 teams in the 2009 Albany Great Dane Classic held on Friday afternoon.
Sara Cimino's time of 18:24.64 was good for third place and six points in he 5000m run. Danielle Werley finished second for DU and seventh overall crossing in 18:46.92 earning the Dukes two points.
Kathy Parker (2:18.20/four points) finished fifth in the 500m run.
Charlene Garth (1:16.28) held off Albany's Melissa Lee by two-tenths of a second to take second place in the 500 meter dash which was good for eight points.
The 4x400 relay team placed fifth (3:54.15/four points).
