Duquesne's men's soccer team (3-0-3) captured the title of the Duquesne Invitational with a 2-1, overtime victory over visiting Lafayette. Sophomore Ben Horner was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.

Trailing 1-0 in the 82nd minute, Horner was dragged down in the box and awarded a penalty kick. He drilled the shot into the top center of the net to tie the contest.
Just 1:06 into overtime, freshman Tyler Tompkins made his first collegiate goal a memorable one as he scored off an assist from sophomore Stefan Lundberg.
The Dukes return to action on Friday, Sept. 19 as they travel to Niagara for a 7:00 pm match.
