Box Score

Duquesne bounced back from Friday's loss to Saint Louis with a 9-3 victory over the Billikens, Saturday afternoon at Duquesne Field. Pitcher Paul Bugajski tosses the complete game, striking out five to collect his fifth victory of the season.

The Dukes jumped out to a 4-0 lead after six innings before the Billikens scored three runs in the seventh to close the lead to one run. However, the Red and Blue responded with a five-run bottom of the seventh to account for the final score.

Mike Carroll and Derek Mechling each hit solo homers while Carroll, Anthony Manley and Pat Kimutis each drove in two runs. Five Dukes had multiple hits, led by Eric Morrison who went 3-4.

Game three of the series will be played Sunday at 11:00 am. A brief ceremony will be held before the game to honor the seven seniors on the team.
