Box Score

Duquesne's baseball team fell to third-ranked South Carolina, 15-4 Friday evening in Columbia.

Trailing 3-0 after the first inning, the Dukes scored twice in the top of the fourth to cut the deficit to one, however in the bottom of the inning the Gamecocks scored five times, then again in the sixth in cruising to the final decision.

Senior Eric Morrison was 3-4 on the day with an RBI and two runs scored while sophomore Mark Tracy was 1-2 with two RBI. Freshman Joe Perotti pitched one scoreless relief inning.

Game two of the three-game series will be played Saturday at 4:00 pm.
