Dukes top Maine in 10 Innings, 4-3

Seniors Aaron Janusey and Eric Morrison combined for five of Duquesne's seven hits and three of the team's four runs as the Dukes captured a 4-3, 10-inning victory over Maine Friday morning in Annapolis, Md.

Janusey was 3-4 with two RBI, including the game-tying RBI while Morrison was 2-5 with a triple, his team-leading seventh stolen base and three runs scored, including the game winning run.

Sophomore Lawrence Anderson pitched the final 1/3 of an inning to pick up his first collegiate victory. Junior Gary Pierpont tossed the initial 9 2/3 innings, allowing just two earned runs with four strikeouts and just one walk.

The Dukes will face Monmouth on Saturday at 11:00 am in Annapolis.
