ATLANTIC 10 SEASON IN FINAL STRETCH: The Duquesne women's basketball team continues their A-10 schedule when they visit Rhode Island Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. The Dukes have moved into an 11th place tie with Massachusetts and La Salle in the conference. The regular season concludes Saturday night against La Salle.
DUKES AND RAMS: Today marks the 38th game between Duquesne and Rhode Island. The Dukes and Rams first met Dec. 10, 1983. DU leads the series, 19-18.
DUQUESNE LATELY: Winners of two in a row ... currently in a three-way tie for 11th place in the Atlantic 10, holding the tie breaker over Massachusetts ... also tied with La Salle who the Dukes host Saturday night ... the top 12 teams will make it into the A-10 Tournament Mar. 7-10 ... 4-9 against common opponents

LOOKING AHEAD: Tonight's game is Duquesne's final 2007-08 road game. The Dukes conclude the regular season Saturday Mar. 1 at home against La Salle. Seniors Jade Singleton and Jocelyn Chandler along with team manager Emily Fisher will be honored in a pregame ceremony.
LAST TIME AGAINST URI: A solid second half performance by visiting Rhode Island helped the Rams to a 74-57 Atlantic 10 victory over Duquesne Jan. 12, 2007 at the A.J. Palumbo Center. URI's Sofi Mojidi had a game-best 33 points on 10-18 shooting, including four from beyond the arc and tied the game high with seven rebounds. Amanda McGrew added 21 points for the Rams. The Dukes were led by Loui Hall's 18 points. Carmen Bruce and Kristi Little also scored in double-digits for the Red & Blue with 12 and 11 tallies respectively. Hall's five rebounds was team best. Little also snagged had a game-high four steals. The Rhode Island lead got as high as 19 points with under two minutes left. The contest ended 74-57 as the Dukes fell to 6-9 overall and 1-1 in conference action. Rhody has taken two of last three contests against Duquesne.
HIDDEN STAT: Duquesne is 10-3 against Rhode Island in February.
