WHO, WHAT AND WHERE: The Duquesne women's basketball team puts their perfect 6-0 record on the line Sunday afternoon at Towson for a 2:00 p.m. tipoff.
DUKES AND TIGERS: Duquesne and Towson have met five times, with the Dukes winning each matchup. The squad last met on Nov. 25, 2007 - a 80-76 win at the Palumbo Center.
DUQUESNE LATELY: Coming off a record-setting victory over Niagara 100-42. The 58-point margin of victory was the largest in program history. This was just the second time DU scored 100 or more points (116 vs. Valparaiso on 11/23/90). Kristi Little recorded a game-high 19 point in the Dukes' victory.
TOWSON LATELY: Came back from a 14-point second half deficit to defeat Radford 59-53 on Nov. 25. Defeated Loyola, Md. 75-66 in their season opener and Davidson, 76-58 on Nov. 22.
AGAINST THE COLONIAL ATHLETIC CONFERENCE: Duquesne is 6-8 all-time against teams from the CAA. Their first game was Feb. 2, 1983 - a 68-63 loss at Navy. Towson is the only opponent from the CAA the Dukes will face this season.
MANAGING MARYLAND: Duquesne has faired quite well against teams from the "Free State". Overall, the Dukes are 17-4 (.809) which includes victories over six different teams. The last time DU visited Maryland was 11 days ago when Duquesne defeated Mount St. Mary's 66-59.
LOOKING AHEAD: The Dukes return home Wednesday evening to host Pittsburgh. Tipoff is at 7:00 p.m.
