WHO, WHAT AND WHERE: The Duquesne women's basketball team makes its first-ever trip to Vestal, N.Y. to take on Binghamton Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m.
DUKES AND BEARCATS: Duquesne and Binghamton have met one other time - Dec. 4, 2007. Five Dukes scored in double-digits led by Kristi Little's 18 points as DU defeats BU 85-75 at the Palumbo Center.
DUQUESNE LATELY: Coming off a 78-45 victory over Penn Saturday afternoon. Kelly Britcher scored a season-best 13 points. Rachel Frederick and Alex Gensler recorded 12 points each. With the victory, the Dukes improved to 4-0 on the season, their best start to a season since 1998-99.
BINGHAMTON LATELY: Defeated Bryant 68-61 on Saturday to even its record at 2-2 on the season. Erica Carter is the Bearcats leading scorer with 11.5 ppg.
AGAINST THE AMERICA EAST CONFERENCE: In addition to last year's game against Binghamton, tonight is only the third game the Dukes have played against an America East team. On Dec. 28, 1987, Duquesne and Hartford played in the championship game of the Wagner Invitational. DU won the game 86-61.
BUILDING EMPIRES: Duquesne has faired quite well against teams from the Empire State. The Dukes have an overall record of 52-28 (.650) against Army, Binghamton, Buffalo, Canisius, Cornell, Fordham, Niagara, St. Bonaventure, Siena, Syracuse and Wagner.
LOOKING AHEAD: The Dukes return home Friday evening to host Niagara. Tipoff is at 7:00 p.m.
