ATLANTIC 10 SEASON ROLLS ON: The Duquesne women's basketball continues their A-10 schedule when they visit Saint Louis Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. (EST). The Dukes dropped their A-10 opener to Charlotte 67-57 Saturday night and the Billikens won their opener 84-78 at Fordham in double-overtime.
DUKES AND BILLIKENS: Tonight marks the fourth game between Saint Louis and Duquesne. The teams first met Feb. 15, 2006, the Billikens inaugural Atlantic 10 season.
DUQUESNE LATELY: Charlotte's Sabrina Gregory scored 20 points - including the go-ahead jumper - to lead the 49ers to a 67-57 win over Duquesne in the Atlantic 10 Conference opener Saturday night. Kristi Little scored 20 points and Samantha Pollino had 12 points for the Dukes who dropped to 9-7, 0-1 on the season.
SAINT LOUIS LATELY: SLU is 6-10, 1-0 under third year head coach Shimmy Gary-Miller. Freshman Amy Klotz is the reigning Atlantic 10 Player of the week after scoring 19 points off the bench in the Billikens' double overtime win over Fordham.
LOOKING AHEAD: After tonight's game, the Dukes return home to face a pair of Ohio teams. Dayton visits the Palumbo Center Jan. 19 followed by Xavier on Jan. 22.
HIDDEN STAT: Duquesne's game at Saint Louis Feb. 15, 2006 was the only time the Dukes have played in the state of Missouri. Of the 132 schools the Dukes have faced in their history, SLU is the only school that is located in the "Show Me" state.
