Game Time

Duquesne, in the midst of a five-game losing streak, travels to Washington, D.C. to take on #8 George Washington Thursday at 7:00 pm ... The Dukes are 7-14 overall, 2-6 in Atlantic 10 Conference play while the Colonials are 19-2 and 8-0 in the A-10 loop ... last season, GW outlasted DU 63-56 ... In the A-10 standings, George Washington is tied for first and Duquesne is 12th ... the Colonials have won 12 games in a row.

The Coaches

Duquesne's Dan Durkin is in his 14th season at the helm of the Duquesne women's basketball program and as a head coach. He posts a 176-211 career mark. Durkin is a 1975 graduate of Mount St. Mary's.

George Washington's Joe McKeown is in his 18th year as coach of the Colonials and 21st as a collegiate head coach. He owns a 473-165 career record and is 405-165 with GW. McKeown is a 1979 graduate of Kent State.

The Series

Thursday, Duquesne and George Washington will play for the 50th time. The Colonials lead the all-time series 45-4 which began Nov. 22, 1983. GW has won the last three contests. The Red & Blue have never won at the Charles E. Smith Athletic Center going 0-21. GW has had winning streaks of 15 (Mar. 5, 1986 to Dec. 12, 1992) and 24 (Feb. 5, 1994 - Jan. 29, 2004) games in the series. The Dukes and Colonials have met seven times in the Atlantic 10 Tournament, with GW taking six of the games.
