The Coaches
Duquesne's Dan Durkin is in his 14th season at the helm of the Duquesne women's basketball program and as a head coach. He posts a 176-215 career mark. Durkin is a 1975 graduate of Mount St. Mary's. He is 10-9 against Temple.
Temple's Dawn Staley is in her seventh year as coach of the Owls. She owns a 148-64 record with TU. Staley is a 1992 graduate of Virginia. She has an 8-0 mark against Duquesne.
The Series
Friday, Duquesne and Temple meet for the 36th time. The Owls lead the all-time series 25-10 which began Jan. 5, 1984. TU has won eight in a row against the Dukes including two meetings last year; a 79-44 regular-season win at the Liacouras Center and a 76-63 semifinal victory in the Atlantic Tournament.
