Game Time

Duquesne, in the midst of a seven-game losing streak, returns to the road for the final time this season as they visit Massachusetts Friday at 7:00 pm ... in the second game of the weekend, DU will meet St. Bonaventure on Sunday, Feb. 18th at 1:00 pm ... the Dukes are 7-16 overall, 2-8 in Atlantic 10 Conference play while the Minutewomen are 14-11 overall and 4-6 in the A-10 ... last season, the Red & Blue had a pair of wins over UMass; a 46-44 thriller at the Palumbo Center and a 56-51 upset in the Atlantic 10 Tournament ... in the A-10 standings, the Minutewomen are tied for seventh while DU is 13th ... Friday's is UMass's Team Day: all youth teams and coaches in recognizable apparel will get half-price admission.

The Coaches

Duquesne's Dan Durkin is in his 14th season at the helm of the Duquesne women's basketball program and as a head coach. He posts a 176-213 career mark. Durkin is a 1975 graduate of Mount St. Mary's. He is 10-11 against UMass.

Massachusetts's Marnie Dacko is in her fifth year as coach of the Minutewomen and 12th as a collegiate head coach. She owns a 59-78 record with UMass and a 139-182 career record. Dacko is a 1978 graduate of Southern Connecticut State. She has a 2-5 mark against Duquesne.

The Series

Friday evening, Duquesne and Massachusetts will play for the 39th time. The Minutewomen lead the all-time series 20-18 which began Feb. 20, 1984 . DU has won seven of their past nine meetings against the Minutewomen.

Dukes Lately

Duquesne fell to 7-16, 2-8 after their 69-57 loss vs. Richmond Sunday ... Duquesne has seen its roster cut short due to injury / illness ... three players are currently on the sidelined list in Brittany Warren, Samantha Pollino and Keri Pryor ... the Dukes stand 0-7 on the road this season ... the Dukes next game is Feb. 18 at St. Bonaventure.

Minutewomen Lately

Coming off a 79-49 win vs. Rhode Island Sunday ... the Minutewomen are 7-3 at home this season ... Kate Mills is eighth in the Atlantic 10 in scoring (15.6), second in blocked shots (2.08) and third in FG pecentage (54.0) and FT pecentage (83.2) ... Mills was A-10 Player of Week Nov. 13 ... Kim Benton was A-10 Rookie of the Week Dec. 18

Hall Hits 1,000 Points - 1,291 on her Career

Senior Loui Hall became the 18th member of the 1,000-point club at Duquesne Nov. 22 vs. Niagara. Hall entered the contest with 996 points and ended the contest with 12 markers.

She entered the 2007 slate with 964 points. She racked up 372 last year averaging a team-best 12.8 points per game. Hall, the 2007 team captain, entered her senior year with a three-year career scoring average of 11.2 ppg.

She is ninth on the DU career list with 1,291 points in her 109 contests as a Duquesne Duke. She enters the game 11th among Atlantic 10 scorers with her 14.2 ppg.
