WHO, WHAT AND WHERE: The Duquesne women's basketball team continues their homestand this afternoon at 2:00 p.m. against Towson at the Palumbo Center.
DUKES AND TIGERS: Today marks the 5th contest between Duquesne and Towson. The Dukes lead the all-time 4-0. The Tigers and Dukes first met Feb. 27, 1982, a 70-64 DU victory.
DUQUESNE LATELY: The Dukes played their second consecutive overtime game Wednesday night in their 68-63 win over Robert Morris. It was the first time in school history that DU played back-to-back overtime games. Kristi Little leads the Dukes in both scoring (21.0 ppg), assists (6.3 apg) and steals (5.0 spg). She trails only La Salle's Carlene Hightower (23.2 ppg) in Atlantic 10 scoring. Her 6.25 assists per game is also second in the A-10 and 5.5 steals per game is tops in the A- 10.
TOWSON LATELY: 2-0 on the season ... defeated Mount St. Mary's 58-56 and Norfolk State 76-55 ... home opener is Thursday against Georgetown ... Jamell Beasley leads the Tigers averaging 12.0 points per game ... Kandace Davis is Towson's leading rebounder with 7.0 per game.
LOOKING AHEAD: After today's game, Duquesne travels to Loretto, Pa. Tuesday to take on Saint Francis, Pa. Tipoff is 7:00 p.m.
