DU is 2-4 at home this year ... St. Bonaventure is on a six-game winning streak after defeating Albany 62-45 Jan. 2 ... the Bonnies are 10-5 overall, which includes a 5- 2 road record ... SBU returns home to for the conference home opener against Temple Jan. 12. DU and SBU are ranked among top squad in the NCAA in scoring defense. The Bonnies enter the week 45th allowing just 57.8 ppg while Duquesne is 56th limiting the opponent to 58.5 ppg.
The Coaches
Duquesne's Dan Durkin is in his 14th season at the helm of the Duquesne women's basketball program and as a head coach. He posts a 174-205 career mark. Durkin is a 1975 graduate of Mount St. Mary's.
St. Bonaventure's Jim Crowley is in his seventh season with the Bonnies and tenth as a head coach. He is 102-157 overall and 63-199 at the helm of SBU. Crowley is a 1993 graduate of Kueka College
The Series
This is the 35th meeting between Duquesne and St. Bonaventure. Duquesne leads the series 29-5 beginning with a 65-51 win at the Edinboro tournament in the 1982 season. The Dukes are 14-1 when hosting the Bonnies, including a 66-49 victory last year. DU has won the last nine meetings and is 16-4 under Coach Durkin.

The Dukes are coming off a 69-54 loss to William & Mary Tuesday night after leading 37-36 early in the second half ... senior Carmen Bruce had a career-best 24 points on 10-21 shooting ... St. Bonaventure Lately
St. Bonaventure is coming off a 9-18 season in 2006. Four starters from that squad return. The Bonnies enter the contest 10-5 overall after a 62-45 win over at Albany Jan. 2. SBU has a pair of players averaging double figure scoring in Audrey Latendresse (13.5) and Dana Mitchell (11.8). Ashley Edwards owns a team-best 7.7 rebounds per game. Mitchell was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week Jan. 2. The Bonnies are 5-0 with Mitchell in the starting lineup. SBU's current six-game winning streak is the longest in the program's history since they began Division I play. Andrea Doneth is 51st in the country with her .857 free throw accuracy. As a team, Bona is 25th in free throw pct. (.753); 27th in rebound margin (+7.8) and 45th in scoring defense (57.8).
