Peoria, Ill. -- Duquesne's men's soccer team battled to a 1-1 tie at Bradley in the final day of action at the Bradley Classic. The Braves were the defending Missouri Valley Conference regular-season champions and 2005 NCAA particpant.
Senior Tom Sochacki scored for the Dukes in the 32nd minute off assists from Drew Jeffery and Evan Browne while the Braves tied the score in the 72nd minute and outshot the Red and Blue, 19-14. Senior keeper Zach Varga made six stops in net for DU.
Brock Weaver, Travis MacKenzie and Nick Balara were named to the All-Tournament team.
The Red and Blue return to action on Sunday, Sept. 3 as they host Robert Morris at 1:00 pm on Rooney Field in the Duquesne home opener.
