Duquesne's baseball team jumped out to a 2-0 first inning lead over visiting Youngstown State on Wednesday afternoon, but the lead would not last long as the Penguins posted eight runs in the second inning en route to a 10-6 win over the Dukes.

Steve Maiolo went 3-5 with a homer, two runs scored and three RBI while Aaron Janusey drove in two runs with a double.

Duquesne releivers Alex Sharick and Brian Schwartzbauer shut down YSU over 6 2/3 innings, allowing no runs and just two hits from the third through eighth innings.

The Dukes head to Massachusetts on Friday, April 7 for a three-game Atlantic 10 series with the Minutemen.
