Box Score

Duquesne's baseball team won the opening game of a three-game series at Saint Louis, 7-6 Friday evening.

Junior Alex Sharick homered and drove in two runs while freshman Mike Carroll was 2-3 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Junior transfer Jeff Naughton claimed his second victory of the season, hurling six innings while striking out four. Senior Adam Haun closed the game, throwing three scoreless frames with three strikeouts to earn his second save of the campaign.

The Dukes and Billikens resume the series Saturday at 1:00 pm EST.
