Two Duquesne University baseball players received weekly awards from the Atlantic 10 Conference as sophomore Aaron Janusey (Venetia, PA/peters Township) was named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week and freshman Anthony Manley (Greensburg, PA/Greensburg Salem) was tabbed the A-10 Rookie of the Week for the week ending March 19.
Janusey led the Dukes in hitting over the weekend as the Red and Blue won one for three games at Georgetown. The first baseman went 9-for-13 (.692) with eight RBI while scoring four runs and collecting three doubles. In Sunday's 18-4 win over the Hoyas, he was 4-5 with three RBI.
Manley batted .857 in the weekend series at Georgetown, going 6-for-7 with four walks in three starts at third base. He also added four RBI and three runs scored. Manley ripped a double and a triple in Sunday's 18-4 triumph over the Hoyas.
The Dukes are scheduled to play at Pitt on Wednesday, March 22 at 3:00 pm before hosting St. Bonaventure in their home opener on Friday, March 24 at 3:00 pm on Duquesne Field.
