The Coaches: Dan Durkin is in his 13th season at the helm of the Duquesne women's basketball program and as a head coach. He posts a 165-193 career mark. Durkin is a 1975 graduate of Mount St. Mary's.
Joe McKeown is in his 17th season with the Colonials and the 20th as a head coach. He owns a 378-140 record with George Washington and is 446-160 on his career. McKeown is a 1979 graduate of Kent State.
The Series: This is the 50th meeting between Duquesne and George Washington. It is the Dukes' longest-running rivalry. The Colonials hold a 44-5 lead in the series which dates back to Nov. 22, 1983. The Dukes are 4-16 when hosting the Colonials, which includes a 57-56 win in 1994 when GW was ranked #23. Duquesne lost twice to the Colonials last year - 47-79 at home and 60-68 in Washington, DC. DU was last victorious on Feb. 22, 1004 when it posted a 77-60 upset of the West's top seed, giving GW just its second Conference loss. It also snapped a 24-game losing skid vs. GW for the Dukes. Coach Durkin is 2-26 vs. the Colonials.
