Game Time: Duquesne is back at the Palumbo after a three-game road series in which the Red & Blue went 1-2 ... the Dukes look to rebound from a 47-55 loss at Saint Joseph's while Massachusetts hopes to stop a two-game losing skid after a 51-57 loss to Dayton on Wednesday ... Duquesne is 3-2 at home while UMass is 0-6 on the road.

The Coaches: Dan Durkin is in his 13th season at the helm of the Duquesne women's basketball program and as a head coach. He posts a 161-187 career mark. Durkin is a 1975 graduate of Mount St. Mary's. Marnie Dacko is in her fourth season at the UMass held and the 11th as a collegiate head coach. She is 37-60 with the Minutewomen and stands 117-164 on her career. Dacko is a 1978 graduate of Southern Connecticut State.

The Series: This is the 37th match-up between Duquesne and UMass. Massachusetts holds a 20-16 lead in the all-time series which dates back to the 1984 season. The Dukes are 11-5 when hosting the Minutewomen. Last year, Duquesne defeated UMass 63-53 in Amherst, but suffered a 52-67 fall in the opening round of the Atlantic 10 tournament. Duquesne has won three of the last five meetings. Coach Durkin stands 8-11 vs. the Minutewomen.

Noting the Dukes: Duquesne stands 5-7 overall, 0-1 in league play after losing 47-55 at Saint Joseph's this past Tuesday ... Aiga Bautre and Loui Hall continue to lead the Dukes' attack with 15.4 and 13.2 points per game respectively ... Nicole Sinclair controls the boards averaging 8.6 rebounds while Carmen Bruce posts a team-best 2.8 assist average ... Duquesne has hit at least one three point goal in the past 134 games ... in the latest NCAA rankings (Jan. 2), Bautre is 7th in 3-pt FG pct. (.508) and 16th in 3-pt FG made per game (2.91) ... as a team, DU is 10th in 3-pt FG Pct. (.409) and 25th in 3-pt FG made per game (6.9) ... turnovers have been costly for the Dukes who are averaging 19.3 per game ... Duquesne is being out-rebounded by its opponents 39.0 to 35.2 ... in three-point shooting, the Red & Blue are connecting on .406 while limiting the opponent to a .283 accuracy.

A Look at Massachusetts: The Minutewomen will face its second of three opponents over a six-day spree vs. the Dukes ... UMass had its A-10 home opener with Dayton changed to this past Wednesday after severe winter weather cancelled the Jan. 3 tip ... UMass enters the contest 3-9 overall, 0-1 in league play after falling to Dayton 51-57 ... Pam Rosanio has a team-high 13.8 ppg while Kate Mills averages 11.3 ppg ...
