The Duquesne University baseball team dropped a non-conference double-header to Xavier in Delaware, OH, losing game one, 4-2 and dropping the nightcap, 6-4.

In game one, senior Bob Reifschneider pitched five scoreless innings while striking out six as the Dukes held a 2-0 lead after seven and a half innings. The Musketeers however, tallied four runs in the bottom of the eighth to steal the win. Senior Mike Grecco had two hits in the game while freshman Dante Plassio had two RBI.

In game two, the Red and Blue trailed most of the game. A four-run bottom of the eighth for the Dukes cut the deficit to 6-4 but DU could get no closer. Freshman Eric Morrison had two hits while Plassio drove in two more runs.

The Dukes return to action on Wednesday, May 4 as they host Akron at 3:00 pm on Duquesne Field.
