For the third straight year the Duquesne University baseball team will face the University of Pittsburgh at PNC Park as the Dukes host the Panthers Wednesday at 1:00 pm. Duquesne and Pitt have split a pair of contests at the home of the Pittsburgh Pirates with the Dukes winning the first meeting in 2003, 2-1 in the bottom of the ninth and the Panthers winning last season, 5-1.
The Red and Blue (14-19, 4-6 A-10) are currently on a four-game winning streak which includes a three-game Atlantic 10 sweep at Massachusetts over the weekend. The Panthers are 15-13 overall and 3-7 in Big East play.
Admission to the game is free. Gates to the Home Plate entrance will open to spectators at 12:30 pm.
