Danville, Va. - The Duquesne baseball team earned its first win of the 2005 season, splitting a double-header against Liberty at the Dan E. Daniel Memorial Stadium. The Dukes lost game one, 4-1 before bouncing back to win the nightcap, 6-3.

Scott Chisholm collected the victory for DU with Jeremy Gerger earning his first collegiate save. Offensively, Patrick Kimutis doubled twice for the Red and Blue while Mike Duganich blasted a two-run homer.

The Dukes-Flames series finale scheduled for Saturday at 1:00 pm has been postponed due to weather conditions. The two teams are now scheduled to meet on Sunday, March 6, 2005 at Worthington Stadium on Liberty University's campus in Lynchburg, Va. with the first pitch at 12:30 p.m.
