The Duquesne University baseball team split a pair of nine inning games at the University of Maryland (11-11) on Tuesday, winning game one 14-9 and dropping game two, 10-2. The win was Duquesne's first ever versus a foe from the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Freshman Eric Morrison was 3-5 with four RBI in the win while junior Steve Maiolo was 4-5 with two RBI. Morrison and sophomore Corey Bugno were each 2-4 with an RBI in the nightcap. Freshman Nick Jones picked up his first collegiate victory in relief.

The Dukes (5-9, 1-2) return to action this weekend as Atlantic 10 foe Saint Joseph's (4-15, 0-0) comes to Pittsburgh for a three-game series. The competition begins will a doubleheader at noon on Friday, March 25 at Duquesne Field in Green Tree.
