Duquesne senior shortstop Steve Maiolo (Pittsburgh, PA/Mt. Lebanon) was named the Atlantic 10 Baseball Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday. Maiolo collected seven hits in 11 at-bats in Duquesne's three-game series versus La Salle, raising his batting average to a team-leading .438. Over the weekend he had a pair of three-hit performances, scored three runs and added three RBI while stealing two bases. He also extended his hitting streak to nine games.

The Dukes return to the diamond tomorrow as they travel to Maryland for a 3:00 pm double-header with the Terrapins.
