The Duquesne University baseball team opened its home schedule and its Atlantic 10 season by splitting a doubleheader with visiting La Salle, dropping game one, 4-0 and taking game two 2-0. Scott Chisholm collected the victory for the Dukes, pitching six innings while allowing just two hits and striking out five. Adam Haun pitched the seventh inning an earned his first save of the season. Steve Maiolo had four hits on the day, including a 3-3 effort with an RBI in the nightcap. Game three of the series will be played Sunday at noon at Duquesne Field.
