The Coaches
Dan Durkin is in his 13th season at the helm of the Duquesne women's basketball program and as a head coach. He posts a 159-183 career mark. Durkin is a 1975 graduate of Mount St. Mary's.
Curt Miller is in his fifth season at the Falcons' helm and as a collegiate head coach. He is 70-53 overall and is 5-0 this season. Miller is a 1990 graduate of Baldwin-Wallace.
The Series
Tonight marks the fourth meeting between Duquesne and Bowling Green. The Falcons hold a 2-1 edge in the series. The Dukes took their first win over BGSU last season with a 68-63 victory at the Palumbo Center. They first met in the 1996 season in Ohio where the Dukes suffered a 76-88 fall. They met again in 1997 at the Palumbo with the Falcons winning 66-74.

Duquesne improved to 3-3 overall with its win over Akron this past Saturday ... the Dukes are 1-2 when playing away from the Palumbo Center ... two Dukes average double figure scoring in Aiga Bautre (16.8) and Loui Hall (12.7) ... Nicole Sinclair has a team-best 9.3 rpg ... Bautre is just five points shy of becoming DU's 17th member of the 1,000-point club, she has 995 to date ... Duquesne has hit at least one three point goal in the past 128 games ... the Dukes' 49 made three pointers leads the A-10 ... last season Bautre was 28th in the NCAA with 2.4 threes per game ... As a team, DU stood 30th among D-I programs with its .744 free throw accuracy ... the first ranking for the 2006 season will be Dec. 6 ... Duquesne was picked ninth in the A-10 pre-season Coaches/Media poll.
A Look at Bowling Green
The Falcons improved to 5-0 on the season with a 78-67 win over Detroit Nov. 30 ... it is their best start since the 1991-92 season ... four Falcons average double figure scoring - all starters - in Liz Honegger (15.6), Ali Mann (13.0); Kate Achter (12.4) and Carin Horne (10.8) ... their fifth starter, Casey McDowell puts in 4.4 points per game ... Mann leads the team's rebounding with 8.6 per game ... Achter has connected on 28-34 from the free throw line for an impressive .824 accuracy ... they return all five starters from last year's 23-8 squad ... one of those eight losses last year was to Duquesne ... Bowling Green went 13-3 in the MAC to finish first overall in the regular season and advanced to the NCAA tournament and fell to Kansas State in the first round.
