Baseball Staff to Host December Camps and Clinic

The Duquesne University baseball coaching staff will be holding three days worth of camps and clinics from Dec. 27-29 at the Rooney Bubble on Duquesne's campus.

On Tuesday, Dec. 27th there will be a College Bound Showcase & Clinic for high school players that will graduate in 2006, 07, 08 & 09. The sessions are from 9:00 am - Noon and 12:30 - 3:30 and are open to those who are interested in playing at the collegiate level. Area college coaches from Division I, II, III and professional scouts will be in attendance. Schools that have committed to bring a representative include Charlotte, Pitt, Slippery Rock, Cal U of PA, La Roche, Seton Hill and PSU-Behrend.

On Wednesday Dec. 28 and Thursday, Dec. 29 from 9:00 am - Noon and 12:30 - 3:30 there will be Holiday Camps which provide in-depth instruction in the areas of pitching/catching, hitting and defense/base running. Local players Neil Walker and Dan Schwartzbauer of the Pittsburgh Pirates organization as well as Duquesne head coach Mike Wilson's son, Major League infielder Josh Wilson of the Florida Marlins, will be assisting.
