The current Duquesne Dukes faced off against 15 recent alumni on Saturday, October 8th at 1:00 p.m. at Duquesne Field. The 15 grads did something the previous editions of the Red and Blue's baseball alums couldn't.

For the first time in the 13 year history of this annual competition, the Alums beat the current Dukes, 4-3, on the strength of recent pitchers Bob Reifschneider, Jim Popp and John Rieg.

The second game, scheduled for Sunday, October 16th during homecoming weekend, has been cancelled. The somewhat-older alums weren't able to find enough players for this event.
