The Duquesne University baseball team evened its Atlantic 10 record at 8-8 with a 14-0 pasting of La Salle in Philadelphia.

Pete Maropis went 5-6 with seven RBI, smashing two home runs and doubles while Steve Maiolo was 4-5 with an RBI. Adam Haun picked up his third win of the season, striking out five over 6 2/3 innings. Jon Smith pitched the final 2 1/3 innings of hitless baseball.

The Dukes and Explorers meet again tomorrow for a noon double-header.
