The Duquesne Univeristy baseball team scored nine runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to erase a 9-2 deficit and secure an 11-9 win over visiting Dayton in the rubber match of a three-game series.
The Dukes used the long ball to score seven of their runs as Andy Gallina hit a two-run shot in the fourth inning, Pete Maropis blasted a two-run round-tripper in the seventh and Corey Bugno launched the game-winning, three-run homer in the seventh as well. Dave Knechtel pitched the final four innings to pick up his second win of the season.
